WHAT IS Jax Is Rad?

JAX IS RAD is a platform designed to shine a light on artists, musicians, and local businesses who make our city of Jacksonville rad. 

JAX IS RAD was created in 2017, by designer Ansley Randall. She showcases her own artwork through means of pattern work on murals. She has multiple murals located in various places, such as Southside, Arlington, and Atlantic Beach.  Our team includes amazing unreached artists in our city! From my experiences of creating, I work alongside talented people. These people are in similar situations as me, who have no outlet where they can be recognized, or have the opportunity to grow as an artist. Ansley realized there was a need for inspiration for fellow artists in Jax. That’s when she had an idea to start a movement in the city of Jacksonville, called JAX IS RAD. The brand started from a simple sticker, which she designed, but it has grown into a respected marketing design and event company. The organization’s mission is to shine a light on local artists, musicians, and businesses, who make our city RAD. 

We have now established a team of creatives that help run this company. Three years after the initiation of JAX IS RAD, the team has planned countless events, all of which have helped highlight our creative scene, and bring a hype to the city of JAX. 

While Ansley is the one who created JAX IS RAD, the business continues to thrive because of the people. There have been so many artists that have volunteered to help build JAX IS RAD. “Jax IS rad because of people like Ansley that support all of the misfits and dreamers trying to make a living doing what they love.” (Tiana Disalvo) At the end of the day, we as a community of artists, want to make sure we are always authentic and caring for our community, and we hope you know you are loved and known.
